Alan and Sylvia went to Juilliard together; they hit it off
from the very first day in school. Over the years they created some beautiful music,
melodies, and eventually 2 beautiful babies.
Their love for each other was evident in their music, she an
uninhibited singer, and he a famous conductor.
On weekends, he would strum his old’ guitar and teach the
boys Single String Boogie, and the complexity of rhythm, while she'd
sit close by with love in her eyes for her family.
Life was good, till the elder son died.
It stole her voice, his music, and their love!
How sad that they couldn't work through their grief with their music.
ReplyDeleteIt is sad indeed Lizy. Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteI imagine the death of a child puts a huge strain on a relationship. How sad that something they loved so much couldn't help to bring them comfort and back together.

I know what you mean. Losing a child is probably the most toughest grief. Sad that the music could not bring them together.
DeleteThat was such a lovely story until reality hit in the last two sentences. That's regrettably so often the way it is with life. : ( Well-written story. : )
ReplyDeleteLife is like that isn't it? You never know what will happen next. Thanks for stopping by.
